C Göran Karlsson (f. 1944) studerade vid Konstakademien i Stockholm. Inledningsvis målade han detaljerade, realistiska målningar, ofta föreställande landskap.

Senare, under 1970-talet utvecklades hans måleri mer åt det abstrakta hållet där rena, geometriska former avbildade ställverksdetaljer. Under senare tid har det abstrakta måleriet tagit sig ett futuristiskt uttryck med geometriska linjer.

Moderna Museets samling i Stockholm innehåller tio verk av C Göran Karlsson.

C Göran Karlsson är representerad i samlingarna vid Nationalmuseum Stockholm, Moderna Museet Stockholm, Uppsala Konstmuseum, Eskilstuna Konstmuseum, Västerbottens museum Umeå, Gävle museum, Borås Konstmuseum, Göteborgs Konstmuseum, Västerås Konstmuseum samt Norrköpings Konstmuseum.
