Internally gilded saucière with a branch shape handle with foliage. The oval base adorned with acanthus leaves.
Length 30 cm, height 15.5 cm. Weight 927 g.
Stamped on the underside of the bowl CT, 84 and with the St. Petersburg city mark, control master Dmitriy Ilyich Tverskoy 1841, marked also the foot.

The one screw underneath is loose.

Carl Johan Tegelsten, born in 1798 in Karis Lojo, Finland, came to Saint Petersburg in 1817, journeyman in 1821, master 1833-1852. Among his works, candlesticks and trays for the Winter Palace.
