A pair of centrepiece silver bowls by Johan Rohde for Georg Jensen, Copenhagen 1915-1919. Design nr 252.

Large bowl raised on an openwork stem with a central decoration of leaf motifs, and oxidized clusters of berries. Gradually rising, profiled foot. Foot and bowl with a hammered surface.

Minor differences in size: one has a height of 23 cm, diameter 26 cm; the other a height of 22.7 cm, and diameter 26.3 cm.

Silver 830/1000. Both stamped Georg Jensen Copenhagen GI 830 S. One marked with the Swedish Goldsmiths' Association import mark, the other one with year mark 1918.

The bowls' inner surface with defects, corroded spots. Scratches.
