A French silver tureen, maker's mark of Sixte-Simon Rion, Paris 1809-19.
Oval bowl on an oval, reeded base, stylized cone finial. Lid and body with engraved coat of arms under a crown.
Length 37.5 cm, width 19.5 cm, height 29 cm. Weight 1657 g.
The lid and the outer side of the base marked with Paris marks in use 1809-19, silver mark for 950/1000. The base and the underside of the bowl stamped with the Greek woman's head with a P.
Scuffs on the lid surface.
