A Japanese lacquer box and a blue and white porcelain dish, Edo (1603-1868)/Meiji (1868-1912).

The lacquer box decorated with gilt chrysantemums at a stream, height 7.2, 14 x 11 cm.
Flower shaped dish decorated with underglazed blue. The center decorated with a seated scholar in a garden holding a flower in his left hand, the rim decorated with two crysanthemum flowers and alså foliage. The exterior decorated with landscapes and encircled inscriptions, four character mark to base. Diameter 21.7 cm.

The dish with a rim chip and rim crack. The box with a chip/damage at the interior of the rim at both box and cover.
