The bodhisattva Avalokitesvara shown standing atop a base of swirling clouds, with left hand held over the right, wearing a lotus and bead necklace and long robes falling in crisp, graceful folds around the body, the head held straight and the face finely modelled with gentle expression, the hair drawn up into an elaborate topknot behind a crown draped with a cowl. Height 41 cm.
