A Chinese famille rose porcelain octagonal crested charger, Qianlong (1736-95), Qing dynasty.
The center decorated with a pair of birds, one perched on weathered rocks with a butterfly hovering above, the rim with a gilt border of flowering and fruiting vine centered by the falcon crest probably of de Saumerez of Guernsey. Diameter 39 cm.
