Baluster shaped with handles, on a rectangular base. Turquoise glaze over relief decoration with panels featuring a bird of prey on a rock formation above foaming waves surrounded by foliage and lotus flowers. Height 22.5 cm.

Wear. Glaze chip.

Provenance

The collection of Elis Eklöw (1894-1984). Elis Eklöw started working for the familys import house August Eklöw (founded by his father in 1898) in 1914. The company became focused on import from Asia after Elis Eköws first trip to China and Japan in 1922.
