Gatumotiv med höga husfasader fascinerande konstnären och blir ett återkommande motiv i Ragnar Persons måleri. För att få reflektorer till sin ljussättning skjuter han in husfasaderna från kanterna så att de bildar en form av kuliss och skapar ett bländande motiv. Medan dagen och folklivet så sakta startar på den smala gatan kan betraktaren kanske ana det vackra ljusets annalkande och Seinefloden bakom husfasaderna. Husfasadernas former upphörde dock aldrig att utmana honom och kubismen, som han lärde sig under sin tid som elev hos Halmstadgruppen, har en bakomliggande funktion för kompositionerna.
