A group of 7 Japanese salts and miniatures, also a wooden netsuke, some marked sterling silver, some Meiji (1868-1912)

In the form of baskets, vessels, a drum with a mouse, as well as a Shinto gate and a shovel, partly stamped silver, height c. 2-9 cm.
Netsuke in the form of a man seated in a lotus position, signed to the base, height 3.5 cm.

Wear. Scratches. Netsuke with crack due to dryness of the material and high age.

Provenance

Purchased between 1928-36. From Johan Hultman's collection (1876-1958). Hultman was a Swedish diplomat; in 1911, he became the Swedish envoy in Shanghai. He returned to Asia after a post in Germany and served as the Swedish envoy in Japan from 1928 to 1936 and in China from 1929 to 1936, including Siam from 1931 to 1936. Bukowskis has previously sold items from this collection.
