A Chinese 'dragon' porcelain brush stand, Qing dynasty, Guangxu mark and period (1875-1908).
Cylindrical. Decorated with enamels, gilt and iron red featuring two fiveclawed dragons chasing the flaming pearl amidst flames and cloud formations. An underglazed blue border featuring lotus flowers and foliage with iron red archaic dragons to the rim, underglazed blue lotus border above the base. Guangzu six character mark to base. Height 28.3 cm.
Crack to the side. Wear.
