A pair of hardwood chairs, Thailand, 20th century.
Richly decorated with pierced foliage and flowers as well as lions. Height 90, width 80, depth c. 80, seat height c. 34 cm.
Wear. Chips. One seat cushion is missing. Later seats in plywood.
Provenance
From a Swedish private collector who was active in internationla aid work during the 20th century. The chairs were given to him after his efforts in Thailand during the 1970s, from the Thai royal family according to information. Thence by descent.
