A set of 17 Chinese Canton porcelain plates, 19th century.
Richly decorated in famille rose and gilding with corresponding motifs of flowers, finger lemons, pomegranates, and butterflies. The rims with panels containing birds on flowering branches surrounded by flowers and geometric pattern. Diameter c. 24.5 cm.
Wear. Two with older metal staple repairs and retouches. Ten with chips to rims.
