More information

In 1926, Pauli and Märta Blomstedt founded a joint architectural practice. Blomstedt worked in the shared office until the death of her husband in 1935.

After that, from 1938 to 1961, she co-led the architectural firm Blomstedt & Lampén together with architect Matti Lampén (1906–1961).

During this collaboration, several significant building projects were designed across Finland. Their works with Lampén include, among others, the Hotel Aulanko (1938), the Hämeenlinna Post Office (1952), Bio-Vuoksi in Imatra (1954), the Outokumpu City Hall (1956), and the headquarters of Outokumpu Oy, the so-called “Kuparitalo” (Copper House), in Helsinki (1958).
