A baroque pair-case silver pocket watch by John Davis, London circa 1700.
Double cases of silver, outer case with Swedish hallmarks. Dial with Roman and Arabic numeral indices, central cartouche signed: "DAVIS / LON- DON". Richly decorated movement plate with baluster-shaped pillars, pierced going train and engraving: "IOS: DAVIS / London". Height approximately 70mm. Key-winder included.
Buckling, wear, glass missing. Not tested for functionality.
