Two blue and white Chinese porcelain dishes, Qing dynasty, Jiaqing (1796-1820).
Oval. Decorated with underglaze blue featuring pomegranates, finger limes, and archaic dragons. Length 26-33 cm.
Small dish restored. Wear, fritts/small chips to rims.
Provenance
From the Collection of Ove Christian Lunn, Danish Diplomat and Consul General for Denmark in Shanghai 1928-1935. Lunn had an exciting diplomatic career and was posted 1910-18 in Oslo, 1918-24 in San Francisco, 1924-28 Melbourne and then finally Shanghai 1928-35. Thence by descent within the familiy.
