A large Chinese famille rose porcelain vase, late Qing dynasty / early 1900s.
Square baluster shape with tapered neck and flared mouth. Decorated with sculpted masks of beasts holding rings in their mouths, the sides with calligraphy, one side with famille rose landscapes with figures and the other with an iron red budhist lion with her four playing cubs surrounded by flames. Height 56.5 cm.
Restored at the rim, one shoulder and at the masks.
