I Lausanne vid Genèvesjöns strand, har Christian Coigny under de senaste 30 åren skapat en karriär inom klassiskt svartvitt fotografi parallellt med sitt arbete inom reklam- och modebranschen. Hans arbete är förankrat i en klassisk skolning som är starkt influerad av amerikanska konstnärer som Edward Hopper, Georgia O’Keefe och Andrew Wyeth, som han upptäckte under sin tid i San Francisco.
Några av de största globala varumärkena gav tidigt Coigny uppdrag för reklamkampanjer vilket gjorde honom till ett stort namn inom branschen ren på 1980-talet. Han har plåtat kampanjer för kunder som Hermès, Krug champagne, Ferretti Yachts och Hublot klockor.
