Japanese charcoal iron. Wood and brass. Marked with inscription on the handle. Length 39 cm. Diameter 13 cm.
Hand warmer, brass. Length 22 cm. Height 12 cm. Total height including handle 17 cm.
Brush vase, wood. Height 22 cm. Diameter 10 cm.

Wear due to age and use. Cracks and damage on the charcoal iron. The vase is crooked.

From the collection of Ambassador Osmo Lares (1926-2025)
Osmo Lares was a distinguished Finnish diplomat who devoted his career to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His early postings took him to Prague (1956–1959), Cologne (1960–1964), and Paris (1966–1969). He subsequently served as Ambassador to Tokyo – with side accreditation to Seoul – from 1972 to 1978, followed by appointments to Canberra (1983–1987), The Hague (1987–1989), and Dublin (1989–1991).
