Decoration with a motif of bamboo, fans, and flowers. Blue and red glaze, gilded details. Firmly attached to a wooden base. Shade in fabric. Base measurements 16 x 16 cm, total height 80 cm.

Minor wear. Marks. Electrical function not tested.

Provenance

From the collection of Ambassador Osmo Lares (1926-2025)
Osmo Lares was a distinguished Finnish diplomat who devoted his career to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His early postings took him to Prague (1956–1959), Cologne (1960–1964), and Paris (1966–1969). He subsequently served as Ambassador to Tokyo – with side accreditation to Seoul – from 1972 to 1978, followed by appointments to Canberra (1983–1987), The Hague (1987–1989), and Dublin (1989–1991).
