Provenance

The watercolour relates to the play Crash!, which was performed at Lilla Teatern in Helsinki in 1963. The story revolves around survivors of a helicopter crash in Moominvalley. The play was written by Tove Jansson’s brother Lars Jansson, while she herself was responsible for the music, set design and costumes.
The Swedish actor Gösta Bredefeldt played the role of “Gullet” in the play.
