Hans Hedberg (1917-2007)
Målaren och keramikern Hans Hedberg drev från 1949 egen verkstad med gasugn i Biot på franska rivieran. Han studerade i Faenza i Italien 1947-48 och arbetade med ett obundet formspråk med olika glasyrer. Till en början arbetade han mest med brukskeramik men har senare blivit känd för sina utsökta skulpturer, främst frukter och ägg i ett högbränt lergods i olika storlekar, från små ägg upp till en meter höga trädgårdsskulpturer. Med inspiration från naturen experimenterade han ständigt med nya glasyrer, där glasyren också fick bestämma formen.
