Karlsson & Björk are Mattias Karlsson (b. 1979) and Erik Björk (b. 1978). They are both Bachelor of Science in furniture design from Carl Malmsten Furniture Studies at Linköping University. Mattias is also a Master of fine arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Under the common name Karlsson & Björk, they have since 2009 carried out projects that include everything from product design and interior design to their own exploratory projects and public decoration. Their philosophy is that the mixture of different types of projects adds to each other characteristics they otherwise would not have had.
