Buy at Auction
Buying at Bukowskis is simple, secure and accessible. To place a bid on an item, you must first create an account. We offer three purchasing options: online auctions, live auctions and Private Sales.
New items are published daily in our online auctions, presenting a broad and varied selection of hundreds of lots in art, design, works of art, jewellery and watches, available for bidding directly via our digital platform.
Our live auctions take place several times per season, with items sold during the auction through real-time bidding. For those seeking a more discreet and tailored service, we offer Private Sales.
By creating an account, you gain access to additional features such as saving favourites and monitoring searches. You can also receive reminders before an auction ends and daily updates when new items match your interests.
In our app, you can access all features directly on your mobile device and receive notifications when new items are published.
Participate in Our Auctions
To place bids in our online auctions, you must first create an account and verify your identity.
Once your account has been created and you are logged in, you may begin bidding in our ongoing online auctions.
You can place bids manually or set a maximum bid. If another bidder places a higher bid, our system will automatically increase your bid to the lowest possible increment, up to your specified maximum. You can also receive email or push notifications if you are no longer the highest bidder on a lot.
To participate in live auctions, you must be registered for live bidding. If you are a new customer, you must first create an account. Should you require assistance, please contact info@bukowskis.com or call +46 8 614 08 00. If you are already an online customer, you can quickly register for live auctions by submitting your application here, or contact us at validation@bukowskis.com.
As a verified and logged-in customer, you can participate in our live auctions in four ways: by placing an online absentee bid up to 15 minutes before the item is hammered, either by entering your maximum bid in the “Place Your Bid” field or by submitting a written bid to info@bukowskis.com. You can also bid online in real time by joining the live bidding through our streaming platform. Alternatively, you may apply to bid via telephone by completing the form and sending it to telephonebid@bukowskis.com no later than 8:00 PM the evening before the auction.
If you wish to bid in the auction room, you may register for a paddle at Bukowskis, Arsenalgatan 2, Stockholm, from 10.00 am on the day of the auction. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@bukowskis.com.
In certain cases, a deposit is required to participate in live bidding. You can check whether this applies to you under “My Pages”. For further information, contact deposit@bukowskis.com.
If you intend to bid amounts exceeding 3 million SEK, special approval via a bank reference may be required. Please email validation@bukowskis.com to be approved at this bidding level.
Once the auction has ended, payment must be made within 8 working days. All payment details are available under “My Pages”. After payment has been received, you may collect your item from the office where it is stored or arrange transport to another office. Home delivery may also be arranged. Instructions for both collection and transport booking are available under “My Pages”.
Discover New Items
Track your searches by clicking “Save Search” at the bottom of the page after performing a search. Once a day, we will send you an email summary with new items that match your criteria.
Click the star icon on an item’s image to save it to your list of favourites. You can also receive a reminder before the auction for an item in your favourites list ends.
Select which reminders you would like to receive by email, for example when new items match your searches or when a favourite lot is approaching the hammer. Notification settings can be managed under “My Pages”.
