A BOOK, Charles De Peyssonnel, Paris 1765.

A BOOK, Charles De Peyssonnel, Paris 1765.

With engraved frontispiece + 4 folding engraved maps (Mer Noire
anciennement appellée Pontus Euxinus, Carte de Crimée ancienne et
moderne, Carte des environs de Dnieper ou Borysthène, L’Ilonie, et La
Lydie) + 8 engraved plates + engraved folding table.

Contemporary full English calf, worn, joints cracked. Several leaves
with a minute / insignificant area of paper loss to top margin. (It is
probably due to the book having been a little carelessly opened while
still uncut, leaving these small defects after trimming and binding.)
Internally very fine, including maps and plates. Engraved bookplate of
Oswald of Dunnikier, with motto ”Monstrans astra viam”, and of Bengt Schönbäck.

Wear.
