Utförd under konstnärer vistelse i Bologna 1773-83. Masreliez är den sengustavianska interiörkonstens skapare. 1783 kallades han tillbaks till Sverige för att påbörja inredning av Stockholms slott, Arvsfurstens palats och Gustav III:s paviljong i Hagaparken.
