An Imperial Russian dragoon officer's shashka m 1881-1909, manufacturer's mark Zlatoust.
Marked with the monogram of czar Nicholas II of Russia and in Cyrillic characters with the factory mark Zlatoust. Wooden grip. Black leather-clad scabbard with carrying ring and tipped with a brass chape. Total length 94 cm, blade 78 cm.
Wear due to age and use. Rust spots on the blade surface. Scratched names and years.
