The original for the cover of teh book "New York" by Adolf Hallman, published in 1956. I: 27 x 45,6 cm. The whole paper panel 33.5 x 52 cm.

Adolf Hallman, var en svensk journalist, författare, illustratör och konstnär. Hallman studerade vid Valands konsthögskola, men tog ingen examen därifrån. Han illustrerade ett flertal svenska, norska och danska tidningar samt ett antal böcker av kända svenska och utländska författare, bland annat Hjalmar Söderbergs "Förvillelser" och Charles Baudelaires "Det ondas blommor". Hallman gav även ut egna böcker som exempelvis "New York", utgiven 1956 där den aktuella illustrationen utgör omslagsmotivet.
