With approx. 213 folding engraved maps and plates (61 of which are affected to some extent by the stain described below).

Four volumes, contemporary full calf. Very rubbed and worn, spines chipped, slighly wormed, one spine label partly loose. Third volume with a large blue inkstain to lower and outer edge, which partly affects two margins of text and plates.

Three volumes. Contemporary full calf, worn and somewhat wormed. Occasional minor stains and discolorations, mainly confined to endleaves, one leaf of the index with slight corner loss in connection with an ink-stain.
