A Swedish corner cabinet from Dalarna dated 1734.

Decor painted corner cabinet with two doors and shelves behind. Height 196, width 83, depth 47 cm.

Probably later legs. Later lock. Wear. Minor damages. Cracks due to dryness of the material.

Provenance

According to information, the cabinet is from the Wasastjerna family. The family was called Falander before it was ennobled and was involved in the 1808-1809 war under Sandel's leadership. Mentioned in Runeberg's Fänrik Ståhls sägner. The Falander brothers were knighted by Gustav IV Adolf in 1808 in Åland. On the inside of the door is written Peder F.
