Literature

"It would take another two years before Bra bohag AB launched Alf Svensson and Yngvar Sandström's Form 8, perhaps the most talked-about Swedish plastic armchair of the 1970s. But even before the turn of the decade, the designer couple could present a high-backed armchair with a plastic shell.
Tellus graced the cover of the trade magazine Möbelvärlden's third issue in 1969. But the model was not a success and the following year the factory's CEO Göte Öhrskog concluded: "probably we were too early with visible plastic". But for the rooms at the large hotel Amaranten in Stockholm, interior architect Staffan Westerberg chose Alf Svensson's and Yngvar Sandström's Tellus in 1969." from Siesing, Andreas: Swedish 70s furniture: In plastic, steel, pine and corduroy 1969-1980, Lindelöws förlag, page 14.
