21 april 1967 genomförde överste Georgios Papadopoulos en statskupp i Grekland.

En liknande affisch (med militärens ansikte vänt åt höger) ingick i en utställning där affischer och skulpturer skapade av den grekiske exilkonstnären Savas Tzanetakis ställdes ut i Stockholm 1970 och låg till grund för filmen ”Välkommen till Grekland” som är en film om den politiska situationen i Grekland efter militärjuntans statskupp 1967.
