Beate Andersen is a Danish ceramist. She was educated at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen from 1960 to 1964. Together with Jane Reumert and Gunhild Aaberg, she started and ran the workshop "Studio Strandstraede" at Lille Strandstraede in Copenhagen from 1964 to 2017. Beate Andersen has primarily worked with thinly turned stoneware with graphic decoration of engobe in contrasting colours. Beate Andersen's work is represented in a large number of Nordic museums.
