William Gislander was a Swedish artist born in Fleninge, Skåne. He was a student of Nils Forsberg in Helsingborg and studied at the Technical school in Copenhagen. Gislander is most widely known to have painted stimulating landscapes with birds, often inspired by the South of Sweden, Färöarna and Denmark.
