Lina Jonn's real name was Carolina Johnsson and she was a Swedish female pioneer in photography. August Strindberg stayed in Lund for a large part of the period 1897-99. The portrait photograph was taken on the occasion of Strindberg's 48th birthday by Lina Jonn's studio in Lund in early 1897.
