Provenance

Sigfrid Edström (1870 -1964) var en av Sveriges mest inflytelserika industrimän under 1900-talet. Som ledare för ASEA bidrog han till att utveckla den svenska industrin och sprida elektrifieringen både nationellt och internationellt. Utöver näringslivet hade han även en viktig roll inom International Olympic Committee, där han blev ordförande och arbetade för internationellt samarbete inom idrotten.
Collieret tillhörde hans hustru och var ett så kallat resecollier.
