1970-tal, Ewa-Mari Johansson är tonåring i Malmö och upptäcks av den världsberömda agenten Eileen Ford i New York.
En resa tar henne världen runt som en av den tiden största modeller.
Efter sin karriär börjar en ny resa, denna gång bakom kameran. Hon utbildar sig i NYC och har som mentor Time-Life fotografen Arnold Eagle.

Kontrasterna mellan glamouren, detaljerna, kaoset, de vackra människorna, och den smutsiga baksidan, som Ewa-Mari Johansson tidigt fick erfara, ges en unik inblick i modevärlden sett från både insidan och baksidan, närgånget och starkt.
