Leather-covered writing surface with embossed pattern. Two drawers in the apron, brass key holes. Tapered legs. Width 99 cm, depth 50 cm, height 75.5 cm.

Wear due to age and use. A crack to the front edge of the tabletop. Brass ends missing. Stains. A few repairs. Keys missing.

From the collection of Ambassador Osmo Lares (1926-2025)
Osmo Lares was a distinguished Finnish diplomat who devoted his career to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His early postings took him to Prague (1956–1959), Cologne (1960–1964), and Paris (1966–1969). He subsequently served as Ambassador to Tokyo – with side accreditation to Seoul – from 1972 to 1978, followed by appointments to Canberra (1983–1987), The Hague (1987–1989), and Dublin (1989–1991).
