Built by Pelmu Oy in Turku, Finland for the Norwegian travel agency Novamar, scale 1:300, the model's length is 63 cm, the base plate approximately 70 x 16 cm.
The overall impression is good. Minor chips at the bow. The lid of the case is missing. The base plate with minor surface damages.
Sagafjord was ordered by The Norwegian America Line in 1960 and built by Société Nouvelle des Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranée in Toulon. The ship was launched in 1964 and entered service in 1965. It was also known for a shorter period as Gripsholm. It was taken out of service in 2009 and scrapped in 2010 in Jiangyin, China.
Sagafjord is the cruise ship that has made the most around-the-world cruises, 44 in total.
