Jan Stenvinkel, föddes i 1933 i Stockholm och dog 1989. Han var bildkonstnär och kategoriseras ofta som en abstrakt expressionist. Han studerade vid Konsthögskolan Valand och gjorde inspirationsresor till Frankrike och Spanien. I hans konstnärliga kvarlåtenskap återfinns både realistiska naturstudier och dekadenta uttryck. Hans tavlor och installationer kan betraktas som en slags dagboksanteckningar över märkliga ting och upplevelser. Han finns representerad på Nationalmuseum i Stockholm, Moderna Museet i Stockholm, Göteborgs Konstmuseum, mfl.
