Total length 200, width 110, height 114 cm.

Later case in glass with cracks and wear. The sculpture originally had a hat and a walking stick. Tarnished.

More information

1978 beställde Statens Konstråd fyra skulpturer för utsmyckning av det nybyggda Länsstyrelsehuset i Malmö. Det blev vilda protester och skulpturerna ratades därför. Mest känd från denna beställning är "Black Panther". Den eleganta pantern i kritstrecksrandig kostym kom dock så småningom på plats i Länsstyrelsens entré 1994 och återfinns idag i Moderna Museets samlingar. Från samma beställning finns också "En Svensk tiger" idag i Malmö Museers samlingar.
Denna besuttne Bankir i form av en grimaserande säl i naturlig storlek, klädd i pälsfodrad grosshandlarrock som dråsat omkull efter en bättre kväll på krogen, köptes så småningom av en privatsamlare i Malmö. Skulpturen saknar idag sin höga hatt o käpp, enligt Bo Hultén är ej heller montern ursprunglig.
