In this themed auction, we encounter pieces created by silversmiths Staffan Nilsson (b. 1949), Rolf Lindståhl (b. 1946) and Sebastian Schildt (b. 1964), active in Falun and Stockholm, respectively. All are represented in the National Museum in Stockholm, among other institutions. Over the years, they have proven to be incredibly innovative, as is evident in their work, which demonstrates an aesthetic uncompromisingness, where the boundary between utilitarian objects and art pieces is put into motion.

From the 1960s onwards, designers such as Verner Panton, Eero Aarnio, Siv Lagerström, and Björn Weckström began to explore and experiment with synthetic materials, often employing playful geometry and bold colours. With this in mind, it is understandable that these silversmiths can be brought together here, as it becomes clear that these works are products of their time. On the other hand, it is a remarkable coincidence that one can observe such a striking familial resemblance between the objects created by different silversmiths, while still being offered the opportunity to browse these crafts in sterling silver and red acrylic.
