Seen räknas idag som den konstnär som lagt grunden för konstformen graffiti samt som den mest kända graffitimålaren genom tiderna. Seen började vid 11 års ålder (1973) att måla på tunnelbanetågen i New York. Han kan ses som en av frontfigurerna i Tony Silvers och Henry Chalfants film "Style wars" (1983).
