A Fabergé, Nobel family, jewelled, silver-gilt, guilloché enamel desk clock, workmaster Michael Perchin, St Petersburg

Rectangular, enamelled in translucent red over a sunburst guilloché ground, centring a white dial with black Arabic chapters and pierced gold hands, within a seed-pearl bezel, silver-gilt pierced rococo frame with applied flowers set with a rose-cut diamond. the replaced gilt brass back with circular strut. The movment by Moser & Cie, nr 66388. Struck on the edge, back and strut with workmaster's initials, Fabergé in Cyrillic, 88 standard, scratched inventory number 19955. Later scratched: "Rep [aired] 2/11 59 HJ; 346-56; 899d5 samt 157-56". Height 15 cm. Fitted Fabergé box, underneath inscribed (in Swedish) by Alice Nobel: 16/10 1915 Wedding gift from Grandmother Edla Nobel Stepmother to my father Carl Nobel.
