A small cloisonne 'lotus' basin, late Ming dynasty.

Both the flattened everted rim and the underside with an elegant continuous lotus scroll all against a green ground, the interior of the basin enamelled with turquoise as well on the upright cavetto. Gilded rim and edges. Diameter 16 cm.

Interior with loss of enamel, enamel polished off.

Purchased at Bukowskis Fine Art Asian Sale 574, lot 1362, 28 May 2013. Then from a private Swedish Collector of Chinese Works of Art.
