Wiwen Nilsson – A Master

Wiwen Nilsson (1897–1974), the silversmith who lived and worked in Lund, was, for more than half a century, one of the leading figures in Swedish craftsmanship. His major breakthrough came at the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930. Wiwen Nilsson’s extensive body of work is characterised by masterful craftsmanship, angular forms, and smooth surfaces – qualities that were groundbreaking for his time.

This themed auction includes both classic pieces crafted entirely from silver, featuring a clean, minimalist expression, and more unusual objects, such as a cocktail ring in 18K gold with a round faceted rock crystal, and a brooch gilded in varying tones of gold depicting a majestic dragon.

We invite you to explore this diverse collection of Wiwen’s beautiful creations!
