TOYS FROM YESTERYEAR
The Toys From Yesteryear collection includes toys from Sweden, Germany and France. Germany was the leading toy manufacturing country from the second half of the 19th century up until the mid-20th century, with companies including Tipp & Co. In Sweden, wooden toys by names such as Gemla and Brio were particularly popular. One slightly more unusual manufacturer was Skoglund & Olsson in Gävle, which produced cast iron toys that are included in this auction.
