Amour for Valentine

AMOUR MON AMOUR!
Valentine’s Day originates from traditions dated back to 5th century when the Catholic Church celebrated the saint named Valentine. Though the connection to love and romance was established later on. It all began in the medieval times in France and England when folk tales were dispersed, especially tales about spring birds seeking a partner in mid February inspired boys and girls to find their own Valentine. In the 12th century France, Valentine’s Day was created as a festival celebrating youth and love. It then became a folkway to write poems and love letters, which later on evolved into printing and decoration of the cards in 16th century. In modern times a love-token for Valentine’s Day is often associated with jewelry – and what can be more romantic than sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds!
