A black and white Marimekko vintage Suhina dress from the 1976 spring/summer collection featuring the Sokkoruutu print. Both the dress and the print are designed by Pentti Rinta.

Contrary to the usual design practices of Marimekko, the Suhina dress features a stretchable and elastic upper part. This rare and unique feature makes it stand out from other vintage Marimekko dresses of its time.

The general impression is very good.

About the designer
Pentti Rinta joined Marimekko in 1969, where he would stay until 1987. A gifted and truly versatile designer of eye-catching dresses and everyday wear in tune with the times, his colorful prints also appeared in Vogue and numerous other magazines.
