A French or Swedish Empire writing stand, mid 19th century.

Gilded bronze. Oval white marble base with four slate paws. The Emperor of France Napoleon I (1769 - 1821) stands on a column in the centre. On each side stand cube-shaped ink and sand bottle. Length 22 cm, height 17.5 cm.

Wear due to age and use. The general impression is good.
